Final Foliage || Sky Meadows State Park, VA
The remaining fall foliage puts on one last fiery show along the face of the Blue Ridge Mountains in western Virginia on the first weekend in Novemeber. I took this shot on my first trip to Sky Meadows State Park, which is a pretty great area with a nice selection of hiking trails that meet up with the Appalachian Trail along the top of the mountains.

The Potomac River roars through Great Falls Park in Virginia in my first shot with the new Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2.8. Early results are pretty incredible... loving how sharp the edges are. Vignetting was added in post, as the lens itself adds very little.

The sun rises on the horizon from atop the Blue Ridge Mountains at Shenandoah National Park. After a long night attempting to shoot the meteor shower (largely a bust), we were treated to this incredible view before we headed back home for some much needed sleep.

A detached garage sits alone on a lot in an old area of town in Herndon, VA. The contrast of the single light against the pitch black surroundings makes for an eerie sight and a great shot opp.
